 EduKIT will be hosted by Dr Vic Carr\, Headteacher of Woodlands Primary Sch
 ool\, Cheshire.\nDrawing on anonymised leadership experience and realistic 
 scenarios\, this session explores how small departures from good governance
  can escalate\; from governors becoming involved in staffing matters and in
 formal conversations occurring outside established structures\, to complain
 ts processes creating unintended consequences and relationships affecting o
 rganisational trust. Victoria will examine the impact on Headteachers\, sta
 ff confidence\, governor relationships\, organisational reputation and scho
 ol stability. The session will also explore practical ways to prevent diffi
 culties: establishing professional boundaries\, strengthening governance pr
 otocols\, managing complaints effectively\, protecting communication channe
 ls\, recognising early warning signs and creating systems that can withstan
 d disagreement without becoming personalised. Participants will leave with 
 practical questions to reflect on in their own schools and consider a key l
 eadership challenge: Where does appropriate governor challenge end and oper
 ational interference begin\, and would everyone in your organisation give t
 he same answer?\nThe AoEA Keeping in Touch meeting is a way for members to 
 listen to guest speakers\, share knowledge\, best practice and have a forum
  where you can discuss with your peers any areas of concern or support you 
 require.
