SUMMARY:EduKIT: Effective Parental Engagement
DESCRIPTION:Effective parental engagement: Ginny will discuss the ways in which schools and other agencies can successfully engage parents of children with SEND. She will explore an empathy-based approach to supporting parents through what can be very difficult and emotional times\, considering the role of the SENDCo\, senior leaders and outside agencies. This EduKIT will give practical ways to break down barriers and build positive connections in a very human way and provide an opportunity for sharing good practice. \nGinny has been teaching longer than she hasn’t. She has been a Headteacher\, Senior Manager and Class teacher\, teaching all ages in the Primary age range. She is currently SENDCO of 4 Primary schools in Northamptonshire. \nShe speaks nationally about being a SENDCO and the difference building positive connections makes to children\, staff and parents alike. \nShe is the author of ‘Independent Thinking on Being a SENDCO’ which can be found at Crown House Publishing. \nYou can find Ginny on X @sendcogirl and at her website www.ginnybootman.com \n  \nRegistration: \nRSVP below! \nAbout EduKITs: \nThe AoEA Education Keeping in Touch (EduKIT) meetings are designed for our members to listen to guest speakers\, share knowledge\, and discuss best practices. These sessions provide a forum for peer discussion and support. Our members will automatically receive calendar invites to each EduKIT event. \nIf you are not a member of the AoEA\, get in touch with us at info@aoea.co.uk to learn more about EduKITs and becoming a member of the AoEA. \nWe look forward to seeing you at our upcoming EduKIT sessions! \nClick here to register for this EduKIT.
