Picture News produces weekly news resources for Primary, Secondary, Early Years and Special Schools. Each session begins with a poster depicting the news and a thought-provoking question. Received as a ready to go PowerPoint, Picture News can be used for whole school assemblies or class based discussions, where children are encouraged to share their thoughts, feelings and ideas about stories from the news. Picture News helps to build children’s cultural capital, as well as inspiring them to develop new interests, speak passionately about topics they care about, and write for real purposes to make a difference to the world they live in.
