About the Presentation

Be More Toddler - A Leadership Education from our little learners

The narrative around leadership still needs to change. After reading scores of leadership books in an attempt to find a voice which resonated, Emma Turner realised that the bulk of advice did not take into account trying to balance a busy life parenting three children under five as well as working in a senior leadership role as a headteacher.

This session takes a practical, humorous and unique perspective on the leadership narrative by looking at leadership through the eyes of what we notice about toddlers and human development. Drawing on deep leadership thinking allied with a levity and lightness of touch, it is packed with real examples of what works, as well as reassurance that leadership is extremely do-able for many of us. This session aims to demystify key leadership behaviours; encourage us all to believe we can be leaders in life and at work; and to, ‘Be More Toddler’.
