Matt has a diverse and impactful background in education. He began his career as a geography teacher and later became an HMI (Her Majesty’s Inspector) and Ofsted inspector. His experience as a school and multi-academy trust leader in the UK gave him firsthand insight into the challenges schools face in helping children thrive.
While leading a special needs charity’s schools and children’s services, Matt emphasised the importance of using precise and coordinated information to support children and their families.
In addition to his professional roles, Matt is the chair of governors at a community primary school and a Trustee of an education charity that supports sustainability projects in schools serving areas of multiple deprivation. His work continues to positively impact the education sector and the lives of many children.
