Steve Tighe

Steve Tighe began his career as a PE teacher in Barnsley, where he laid the foundation for his dedication to education and student development. His early experiences in the classroom ignited his passion for pastoral leadership, guiding him to take on various roles across secondary environments in Barnsley, Leeds, Knaresborough, and Dixons City Academy in Bradford.

In 2016, Steve joined Wellspring and he became an instrumental part of the £45 million Springwell Leeds project. His efforts contributed significantly to the establishment and success of this initiative. With a commitment to educational excellence, Steve transitioned to the Trust’s central school improvement team, where he continues to make impactful changes.

Steve’s leadership prowess is evident in his extensive work across eleven Trust schools. He has held headship positions in four schools, encompassing primary, special, and secondary education.
