Dame Kathy August has spent 45 years working in and for public education. She has been a Director of Education in two LEAs, worked as a senior adviser in the DFE, been a visiting professor at Salford Business School and is currently working as an interim CEO of a small MAT in the North of England.
Bennie Kara is the co-author of ‘A Little Guide to Teachers: Diversity in Schools’. She has taught in four London boroughs, in South Oxfordshire, and in Derby. She also speaks, writes and trains on diversity in the curriculum.
Portia Taylor is Network Leader for #WomenEd Yorkshire and Humber. She is an experienced Specialist Leader, and is a Deputy Headteacher for Quality of Education in a large mainstream secondary, part of a Bradford MAT.
Margaret Mulholland is EEF Project Director for Whole School SEND and Inclusion at ASCL. She is a leading advocate for the role SEND settings play in improving understanding of inclusive teaching and learning.
Kamran Mallick is CEO of Disability Rights UK. He is the former Chief Executive of Action on Disability, the Hammersmith-based disability organisation, where he worked for 13 years.
