Jonathan Slater is the former Permanent Secretary for the Department for Education from 2016-2020: the conclusion of a 20 year civil service career that included Justice, Defence, the Cabinet Office and No.10. He is now a visiting professor at King’s College London and Queen Mary’s University London.
In this talk, Jonathan will share his experience of how education policy is made in England – the good, the bad and the ugly.
