Reclaiming our Professional Status – Dame Alison Peacock
Dame Alison Peacock spoke alongside a panel of newly qualified teachers, in a great talk on the issue of professional status.

Professor Dame Alison Peacock is Chief Executive of the Chartered College of Teaching, a new professional body that seeks to raise our status through celebrating, supporting, and connecting teachers to provide expert teaching and leadership.
Aaman is a secondary science NQT employed at Brune Park Community School in Gosport and is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Education through Teach First and Canterbury Christ Church University.
Saira has been a Year 5 teacher for two years, working through the pandemic. Her journey will continue into Year 6 next academic year, which she is very much looking forward to!
Josh is a Secondary MFL NQT working at De Lacy Academy in Knottingley, West Yorkshire.
