Peter Parish
Peter formerly led North Tyneside’s School Improvement Service. During this time the Council was awarded Beacon Council status for ‘Tackling School Failure’. He also co-ordinated successful funding proposals for some major education projects. He then became Head of Planning, Commissioning and Quality Assurance in North Tyneside’s Children’s Services. He had responsibility for the strategic development of the Children and Young People’s Plan as well as the operation of the Children’s Trust. An Ofsted Joint Area Review described the NT Senior Leadership Team of which he was a member, as outstanding. In 2010 he became Director of Operations for Northern Education and was involved with educational project management activities. This included support for the establishment of a Multi-Academy Trust and the project management of academy conversion processes for primary and secondary academies. He also carried out investigations of complaints at school and local authority level.
Peter was involved from the start in establishing the AoEA. He is Senior Portfolio Assessor for the AoEA and oversees accreditation assessment processes.
Peter also works with colleagues on training and development and assessment relating to the Context for Organisational Improvement (COI), a process which can analyse the way work environments influence people’s motivated behaviour.
