The Association of Education Advisers is pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the Festival of Education 2026, where our Head of Development, Narinder Gill, will also be speaking as part of an important panel discussion on teacher exhaustion, leadership and sustainable change in schools.
Narinder will join the session “Yes, your teachers are exhausted. No, it’s not their fault.” on 3 July 2026, from 10:30 to 11:15 GMT. The panel will explore one of the most pressing issues facing the education workforce: why teachers are exhausted, and how years of relentless and often poorly managed change have contributed to this challenge.
The session will consider how change is experienced by teachers and school leaders, particularly when initiatives are introduced without sufficient context, collaboration or resolution. It will also examine the cumulative impact of repeated cycles of change across a career, and why traditional wellbeing approaches alone are unlikely to address the deeper causes of professional fatigue.
Narinder will be speaking alongside Kathryn Morgan, Leadership and Workforce Specialist at the Association of School and College Leaders; Shane Leaning, Organisational Coach, Author and Podcaster at Education Leaders; and Kathryn Taylor, Educational Researcher at Culture Insight.
The discussion will be grounded in evidence and will focus on what a different approach to change, leadership and professional development could look like in practice. It will also address important questions around responsibility, culture and the conditions needed to support a more sustainable education workforce.
Alongside Narinder’s contribution to the panel, the AoEA team will be exhibiting at the Festival of Education at Stand B9. Visitors are warmly invited to meet us, find out more about our work, and explore how AoEA membership supports education advisers, school improvement professionals, consultants and system leaders.
As the professional body for education advisers, AoEA is committed to connecting educators and raising the quality of education advice. The Festival of Education provides a valuable opportunity to engage with colleagues from across the sector, share insights, and discuss how expert advice can help schools, trusts and education organisations navigate complexity with confidence.
We look forward to seeing members, partners and colleagues at the Festival of Education 2026.
