The AoEA Independent Learning Modules (ILMs) are designed to support accredited advisers in maintaining and developing their expertise. Focused, flexible, and practical, ILMs allow senior leaders and advisory professionals to deepen their skills at their own pace, wherever and whenever suits their schedule.
ILMs are available exclusively to accredited AoEA members with Membership Plus and can be accessed via the AoEA Hub.
ILMs are online, self-paced modules that cover the full range of advisory competencies defined in the AoEA’s accreditation framework. Each module is delivered through expertly crafted video content, accompanied by practical resources such as templates, guidance notes, and reflective tasks. The focus is on actionable learning that advisers can immediately apply in their work with schools, trusts, and education organisations.
ILMs are structured to support both newly accredited advisers seeking to build confidence and experienced professionals aiming to refresh or expand their expertise.
Access via AoEA Hub: ILMs are hosted on the AoEA Hub, ensuring members have seamless access to all modules and supporting materials.
Self-Paced Learning: There are no deadlines or set schedules; advisers can complete modules at their own convenience.
Practical Resources: Modules include downloadable templates, self-reflection prompts, and examples that encourage real-world application.
Expert-Led: Content is developed by AoEA trainers and education sector experts, ensuring relevance and quality.
Aligned with Accreditation: ILMs are carefully aligned to the competencies required for both Associate and Senior Associate accreditation, making them ideal for those preparing for assessment or maintaining accredited status.
ILMs are available exclusively to accredited members of the AoEA who hold Membership Plus. This ensures that content is tailored to the needs of professionals who have demonstrated their expertise and are committed to ongoing development at the highest standards.
