Practical ideas. Shared experience.
Stronger professional learning.
This EduKIT will be hosted by Dean Jones, Chief Strategy Officer at Turner Schools.
The session will explore how trusts can strengthen inclusive education for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through a collaborative, trust-wide approach. Against a backdrop of rising needs, funding pressures and growing demand for specialist provision, we will share how cross-phase leadership, targeted professional learning and partnerships with local authorities can embed consistent adaptive teaching and improve outcomes. Discover the impact of a shared inclusion strategy, including reduced exclusions and suspensions, improved attendance and progress, positive pupil voice, and strong Ofsted inclusion ratings. The session will explore key lessons around developing inclusion bases, securing sustainable funding and planning provision for future demand. Attendees will leave with practical insights on establishing a clear inclusion vision, designing ambitious academic and vocational pathways, developing pupils’ independence and life skills, and creating a shared responsibility for SEND across schools, trusts and communities.
