Chris Passey 

Non-Executive Director

Deputy Headteacher of Kimichi School in Birmingham and Chair of Governors of a large secondary school, Chris is also the co-founder of the EduPulse think tank. With articles published for the Chartered College and Primary First Journals, Chris is also a children’s author and has co-authored Succeeding as a Deputy Head (Bloomsbury in January 2026) and Professional Development for Great Teaching (Routledge in January 2027).

Chris holds a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and is a proud Fellow of the Institute of Leadership, the Chartered Management Institute, the Chartered College of Teaching and the Royal Society of Arts. Chris also sits on the Industry Advisory Panel for National Institute of Teaching and Learning with Coventry University

Having won awards for Student Support (2018) and Teacher of the Year (2023), Chris was recently named the honorary recipient of the BCC Arts & Culture Award 2025 for his contribution to education, music and literature following such luminaries as Julian Lloyd Webber.
