I provide expert, highly responsive school development support and leadership coaching and I currently work with trusts, schools and leaders nationwide. I am a Senior Associate with the AoEA and I hold an ILM Level 7 qualification in Executive and Senior Level Coaching. I also speak at conferences and via the National College on how to design bespoke systems for trust and school improvement and how to create engaging, high impact curriculum and teaching.
Before that, I had over twenty-five years of highly successful school improvement experience:
– As a MAT Director of School Improvement, I supported three schools to raise their Ofsted ‘Overall Effectiveness’ grades in just three years while supporting the other three schools to maintain ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ grades.
– As a Headteacher, I secured the school’s future from a starting point of unsustainable debt and Local Authority plans for its closure while overseeing the best Sixth Form results since the new performance measures were introduced.
– As a Head of School in a very challenging area, I oversaw an increase in Progress 8 of +0.35 in one year.
– As a Vice Principal 16-19, I took a Sixth Form from disappointing results and the threat of closure to thriving finances and the top 4% of the UK for Level 3 Value Added in two terms.
– As an Academic Deputy in a selective independent school, I oversaw record breaking GCSE and A level results in just three years.
I started my teaching career in Japan before teaching in my home state of Connecticut in the USA where I was named ‘Best New Teacher’ at Hall High School. I have been a teacher and educational leader in the UK since 2001.
I will listen closely to you and your team and work collaboratively with you to create bespoke, practical solutions while also promoting your long term development.
