I love the opportunities to connect with children that being a teaching principal offer. The chance to make a difference to the lives of the young people (and their families) makes my job a privilege. Since I became a principal, over fifteen years ago, there have been many changes to the cohort of children that come to our schools and their ‘readiness to learn’, making it a challenge to find ways to ensure progress is real every day.
