My career was spent substantially in mainstream secondary schools, starting as a teacher of mathematics; for the last 15 years I was headteacher of a NE secondary school. I oversaw and became the Executive Headteacher of the federation of that school with the local primary school.
I have been a member of the AoEA Development Team since 2016, leading on the EduKIT programme and supporting every stage of the associate accreditation process.
As an independent adviser I support two independent special schools for children with SEMH.
