I am a consultant with 10 years experience as part of school improvement team at Education North Tyneside. I work collaboratively with leaders and practitioners across all school phases to drive and sustain meaningful school improvement, focusing primarily on Leadership, Governance and Safeguarding.
I have a particular interest in research-informed practice, with a focus on applying the principles of cognitive science and metacognition to enhance teaching and learning. Prior to this, my career was rooted in practice as a teacher of physics, successfully leading a Science department in a large secondary school.
